Another Great Banoffee Idea

It is well accepted now that the two men responsible for the amazing creation of what we know as banoffee pie were Ian Dowding and Nigel Mackenzie. Back in the early 70′s Dowding arrived back from America and had seen a new dessert, which they tweaked with different fruit toppings before deciding on bananas. They called their recipe banoffee pie and it was an instant triumph with customers at one point only booking a table if the pie was on the menu. Since then it’s spread throughout the world and is a favourite for many.
